Russalt held career days for students in Irkutsk

The largest salt producer in Russia is Russalt  – spent career days for university students in Irkutsk. The technical director of the enterprise Ruslan Gramma met with future young specialists.

 

Recall that Russalt is engaged in the extraction of edible and industrial salt at the most powerful deposits in the Irkutsk, Orenburg and Astrakhan regions. A stable operating company, known not only in our country, but also abroad, has over 1200 employees. Particular attention is paid here to the training of modern highly qualified personnel.

 

Today, in Russia, one can literally count on one hand the universities that train specialists for mining companies – for example, in the areas of “mining” or “geological exploration technology”. Therefore, the enterprise works with future graduates of Irkutsk educational institutions already from the student bench: it organizes internships and creates all the conditions for the work of young specialists. This and many other things were discussed at a meeting held on March 24 with students of the Irkutsk National Research Technical University (IRNITU) named after I.I. Yezhevsky

 

– There are quite a lot of young people in the company’s team, we have taken it as a principle to work with graduates immediately after graduation,– said Ruslan Gramma. – We encourage mentoring, we have a trade union, we have our own training center, additional opportunities have been created for personal and professional growth, further advanced training at the expense of the company. “White” salary is higher than the market, full social package, provision of a hostel for non-residents in the Iletsksol and Bassol. Now the possibility of providing young personnel with temporary housing in the city of Usolye-Sibirsky is being considered.

  

More than 100 university students gathered in the IRNITU auditorium, studying in the areas of “Electric Power and Electrical Engineering”, “Mechanical Engineering”, “Operation of Transport and Technological Machines and Complexes”, “Automation of Technological Processes”, “Innovation”, “Mining”, “Technology of geological exploration”. Career days from the largest salt producer are always of great interest to future mining professionals. The guys were interested in working conditions, the modernization of production, the geography of deposits and the possibilities of moving. As a result of the meeting, 20 students applied for an internship at the local branch of the company.

 

Ruslan Gramma emphasized that there are vacancies for graduates at the fields in Sol-Iletsk, Usolye-Sibirskoye, and at Lake Baskunchak, as well as at a new modern salt production plant in Novomoskovsk. It was put into operation in 2018, built and equipped with the latest technology, which corresponds to the latest achievements of science and technology.

 

Today, industry enterprises are also experiencing a shortage of qualified power engineers and engineers. This was discussed at a meeting held on March 25 with students of the Energy Department of the Irkutsk Agrarian University. The guys learned what opportunities work in the company provides for starting a career and further self-realization. In particular, there is a system of rewards for achievements, which takes into account both the qualifications and individual performance of each employee, and the performance of the relevant department and the company as a whole.

 

Russalt regularly holds Career Days at the country’s technological universities. In addition, the company develops its educational programs for vocational training at its own training center, where specialists are trained by leading and chief engineering and technical workers with vast experience and knowledge in this field.
