Russalt opens recruitment for working specialties in Siberia

“Russalt”, one of the leading salt producers in Russia, maintains the level of production at Lake Baskunchak in the Astrakhan region at 1.5 million tons per year and develops export directions, the company’s commercial director Alexei Bulychev told Interfax.

“Russalt” maintains stable performance in salt production. Last year, about 1.5 million tons of salt were mined from Lake Baskunchak, which is comparable to 2020 data. Since the beginning of this year, the shipment of Russalt products has been ahead of schedule – by an average of 15%”

According to him, 95% of products are supplied to the Russian market.

“Nevertheless, we are also developing export deliveries. The main export destinations are China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and the Baltic countries. Mostly it’s edible salt.”

He also said that from 2012 to 2021, Russalt invested more than 2.2 billion rubles in the development of salt mining and processing technology at the Baskunchak deposit. In particular, thanks to investments, the company was able to introduce thin-layer salt mining technology at Lake Baskunchak.
